Jan Harvey’s acting career began after completing a teaching course at Homerton College Cambridge where she appeared for the Footlights and Marlowe Societies. She has starred in classical theatre roles, many television series, and is best known for her role as Jan Howard in the phenomenally successful BBC series Howards’ Way. In recent years she has developed a role as a presenter, fronting the Simply Money finance magazine television programme, hosting corporate events and after-dinner speaking.
Jan’s corporate work with Jan Harvey Presentations has been operating for fifteen years and she has been able successfully maintain commitment to her clients alongside her other professional engagements. She has found the two disciplines remarkably symbiotic and has adapted the theatrical skills to inform her corporate work. She offers a radically different approach to business training, and delegates will be asked to work in some areas that may seem alien. The results are extraordinary and far-reaching, and immediately apparent to her clients’ colleagues and friends.
Jan’s passion for this area of work is clear from what she says:
“Some of the most exciting, and rewarding experiences I have had “
“Watching individuals having the courage to try new things, daring to push their personal boundaries is very moving and thought provoking to colleagues who witness it”
“Most businessmen are working at about sixty percent of their potential. My job is to access one hundred percent ”
